Hi there everyone!!!

I'm really excited. We have just gotten the internet @ home now and i'm obsessed with it now! We havn't had it for ages so i'm going to go on it until i get over it again!

Ok a bit about myself...I'm 19, work in an office and have been riding since i was 5. My parents wouldn't buy me a horse until they were 110%, absolutely, positively SURE that it wasn't just a phase that i was going through. (I bet they regret that now. haha) So i got my first horse when i was 11. A pureberd Arab mare who is a nutter. She taught me a lot of patience. (ie. when she didn't want to do it...i just had to accept it!!!) I did a bit of everything on her until she bowed her tendon and we retired her. We tried to get her in foal but i think she is one of those "floosies" who leads them on and goes....na...not intrested anymore. So we paid enough money for her to have a little "holiday" with a stallion and not come home in foal. TART!

Then i got Gilbert who is my current pony now. He is a super dooper horse with a heart of gold, (when he dosn't try to bite you). I have had him for almost 7 years now and together we have both come up from Prelim level to PSG/In 1 today. Hopefully one day we will get to GP...onnnne day!

There is also Artuhur, my young horse who is yeh... your typical young horse. He looks like a teenager going through puberty. So out of proportion the poor thing. He is a sweety, (when he's not trying to buck you off!)

I also have 2 golden retievers, Clyde who is the bestest dog ever and a giant puppy, Jack, who hasn't yet earn't his place in the family yet. He still chews my shoes and eats my clothes!!!! err!!!

I also have 7 chickens who i love. My dad doesn't though becuase they don't lay enough eggs to earn their keep and my Mum has said she will put them in the pot if they keep scratching and eating up her veggie patch. Opps!

I also love to surf when i can and Gilbert is a big fan of the water to. Can't see him on a surfboard though! hmm...

So there is a bit of info on me. I might think of putting my puppy in the classified section of this site (even though he isn't horsie) if anyone is intrested.
If you do see him for sale, actually it will probably be free to good home. No, free to home. No...just for free...So if you see him for free it means that he has chased Gilbert, chased my chickens, barked to keep me up all night and ate my clothes!!!!

Anyway...Have a good night!
Alyssa

Heya Alyssa,
Fantastic going with Gilbert - all the very best with him. Awwww, Golden Retrievers are gorgeous! Let's hope Jack starts behaving himself and stops terrorising your household!

yeh this site will be good. I can surf the waves during the day and the intenet at night. haha. I always looked at this thinking how can people spend so long on it but it is so addictive!!! And the fact that it is horsie makes it even better because it is something that we all have intrests in...so yes...well done Ann for creating this!!! :-)

Hey Assie! Welcome to Addicts Anonymous (or not so anonymous). I had a hunch it was you but didn't want to make an ass out of myself if I got it wrong...done that way too many times!!!

Hey Alyssa!

the amount of time spent on here is exponentially related to the amount of work needed to be done or/and the amount of assignments due and when they're due! :D I don't know if related was the right choice of word, but hey! it's definitely addictive, and it's a great procrastination tool as well!

Welcome, Alyssa!

I guessed gIlBeRt was you, but then I get to see the e-mail addresses, so was able to confirm it. Hope you enjoy being in here, and please don't tell your mother about the silly things i say and do. She seems to be under the misapprehension that I'm a sensible adult.

Heh, I have a similar phrase to describe my forum usage, and that is the amount of my forum activity is directly proportional to the amount of other work that needs to be done. And, my own work productivity is inversely proportional to the total amount of posts by all users on this forum.

Heh, those email post notificiations really dont help my 10 second attention span, I really should turn those things off while I'm doing things (but, as if I'm going to).

Heh, those email post notificiations really dont help my 10 second attention span, I really should turn those things off while I'm doing things (but, as if I'm going to). They don't, do they? My e-mails are collected every ten minutes, and every time I go to change apps and see new e-mails waiting, I just have to look to see where they're from. And if there are any forum messages, I just have to switch to Firefox and see who's said what.

Back to entering results into ResQue...

Hmm, I remember when Dianne Burns rode Portia, and I think our famous Alex might have ridden her first ever medium test on Portia many moons ago....
