Hi everyone,

Im writing this message as an increasingly desperate woman! I am looking for a horse to take to Gatton for uni starting 25Feb this year and was wondering if anyone could help me out and point me in the right direction?!

Ive been searching around but am a bit daunted by the whole process, as this is the first time I have bought on my own.
I am looking for a 15.3+ mare or gelding with basic dressage and jumping experience. I am a novice rider so tempermant is very important. Im not looking for a stellar competition career, i need a boy/girl who can teach me the finer points and help me progress.

I would prefer to lease but am willing to buy. My budget would stretch to $1500 max.

If anyone has any contacts, ideas, advice id be very grateful!!!

Thanks!

Hi,
I have 3TB's for sale/lease at the moment! I urgently need to sell them too! 2x grey mares 16hh basic education and 1xgrey gelding 16.2hh novice level dressage..... I have had hardly any time for them in the past 6months and have only on ocassions been riding the gelding! this is why i urgently need to sell them so they can get the TLC they deserve!

I have a TB mare, novice/elementary dressage, I may be agreeable in leasing her to the right person! Pm me if interested...she (and I) are in Toowoomba.

We are sacking one at work (mounties) owner is unsure if she wants to take him back.

He is a light frame just 16hh. Huge wither and feels like a pony to ride. Ok movement. Would do well with a chiro/physio to go over him as his shoulders are tight. Can jump small stuff and has decent basics if ridden well. Biggest issue is that he cannot follow. He gets angry and pigroots - but we call his version of pigroots - Handstands. Gets good height. Have had a couple of irregular bleeds also in the hot weather and any hard work without fitness.

Actually would make a handy pony if someone wanted one horse at home.

I am said owner and have also done the Horse Course at Gatton. Al is a lovely, gentle soul with the most wonderful paces to ride, and a lovely jump on him. I'd be happy to chat to you about him if you like? I need to make a decision this week, so please feel free to contact me on email em_lambe@yahoo.com.au (i'm not online very often now as work is too busy, so might not catch a PM in time)

Thank you so much for your responses guys! Its been so helpful!
Well I have found my horse for the year thanks to Chevy! His name is Kokoda. He is a 5 year old irish sport horse gelding and he lives next door to the uni, which incidently is where I will be living too. He has done the uni course before and all the instructors know him so it has all worked out perfectly! im rediculously excited!

Good luck Alisa! I'm sure your new mount, Kokoda, will take you nicely through the course. You'll have heaps of fun!
