I'm doing my best to be as comprehensive as possible. Leon Bagott in Victoria is sending me everything he or his system scores, but others don't.

I'll post the results of any official EFA event, or other special dressage event anywhere in Australia, if they're sent to me in electronic format. I'll also post links to results of overseas events of interest.

I'll send Anjanette an e-mail and see if I can get the YH results. I had no luck getting a corrected copy of the schedule, after pointing out the errors in the original.

I got the results from Anjanette this morning. They're now up on the Results page:

http://www.dressageit.com/results/index.html

Cairns results are being entered now and will be up this afternoon. Then I'll only be missing the Caboolture results from last weekend for Queensland.

If there are any non-Queensland readers here, I am happy to put any official or special (such as YH or YR) results on the site. E-mail them to me at ann.clarkson@dressageit.com

Just got the results in......

:-(

And here I was, thinking I did really well... I was so proud of my little horse... apparantly the judges thought differently....

57.2% even worse than the 1st test (!) and that one had canter circles with big bucks in it!

Anyway, the nature of the game... moving on to the next one....

Never mind...

happens to all of us, all the time! Doesn't mean you did a bad test.

Happened to me at Toowoomba (twice). The test that you think was really bad usually gets a great score!

I just got my results from Caboolture too...

turns out they made an error in adding up the scores on my sheet, and the mark should have been 1.2% higher! I'll have to give someone a call.

Caboolture uses TopScore!, so the problem won't be with the adding up - more likely a keying error.

Were there by any chance any overwritten marks? They create problems for scorers, especially as they're usually a 5 and a 6. If the scorers guess a 5, you can guarantee that the rider will guess a 6. ;-)

That's why I always sent sheets with overwritten marks back to the judges. Every time.

no, there's no overwritten marks - on the sheet from one judge the total mark is written as 155, and I get 161 - a difference of 6, so perhaps they just missed out adding one movement, or missed the coefficient? Easily done when you have so many sheets to process!

It won't be a coefficient, because TopScore! does those. it will possibly be a missing mark, and if that's the case, it will show in TopScore! as a blank, easily seen on the screen.

Send Karen Herald an e-mail about it. She's a member of the forums here, and you can get her e-mail address from the memberlist. Click on the link at the top left of every screen.

The question that has been coming up alot since the young horse is is it fair to compete your horse in a competition that you run.

The winner of the five and six year old classes although I believe did very well did have a unfair advantage as she was able to socialise with the judges and guest rider.

This question fly's close to the mark but it has been mentioned alot since the event.

Why did the guest rider have to confer with the judge before giving her mark.

The huge mark given by the guest rider in the five year old class was certainly the decider in that class.

Did the guest rider and judges know the evevtual winners horses more intimately after a chat with coffee after dinner.

All in all is it correct conduct.

I am just raising the questions as it has been discussed around the tailgate.

Next year it could be good if we knew what time the event started and had a draw or at least the riders had numbers so we knew who we were watching.

Lastly did pavarotti come second or was it concordence. The results reflect that concordence came second even though there is 3 beside his name why was there a typo in only this class. Impressions are everything.

All in all it was a great event but I think we need to have a level playing field as much as possible in a very opinionated sport.

These issues have been raised by riders and jusges alike

The question that has been coming up alot since the young horse is is it fair to compete your horse in a competition that you run.

Interesting question.... the dressage rulebook states that a judge should notify the organising committee of a potential conflict of interest... would this rule be applicable for young horse competitions as well??

However... we all ride at the competitions that we run (well, I do...) and over the years we all get to know the judges to a certain degree. You greet them when they enter your venue, you organise lunch for them and you pay the at the end of the day...

However, I do think that the judges should be mature enough to not let this interfere with their judging, and to be honest I haven't seen this as being an issue at the competitions that I have been involved with as part of the organising committee. (hell, I am the president of the group and I don't even place at our own comps! )

Just my 2 cents worth...
