I'm looking for another dressage saddle and wondering what the general opinions are on Kieffer Weins.
I haven't had anything to do with Kieffers, so please help.
I have one to ride in tomorrow.

Hi Chevy

I used to have a Kieffer Wein and I loved it to ride in. It was so comfortable and I would still have it but my friend offered me her Kieffer Ulla for a really good price and I didn't need two. Kieffers are great saddles.

Hi

I have a keiffer Wein. I don't ride in mine very often because it doesn't really suit my shape.....I have Loooooooooooooong legs and I find the Knee roles are a little bit too far forward and I end up up with a bad leg position and it isn't as comfortable for me. I know some ppl though that love it and find it really easy to ride in. It will probably just depend on your shape and personal preference.

I have ridden in a Keiffer 2 or 3 times and I looved it. I wouldn't buy one though as i have show ponies and galloways so they are a bit too big! The onlyt thing I don't like about them are they are very thick so you can always 'feel your horse beneath you'. On a big WB they are excellent though.

I've had Keiffers for years and lurv them! They are beautifully detailed and finished and very durable-mine are everyday saddles.

I have a new Ulla its very nice but it takes a while to break it in! I guess it comes down to what feels best for you and your horse.....

My general opinion on Keiffers is that they are nice to look at but not so nice to ride in...but it all depends on your body type how nice they are.

I love my Kieffer Wein - have had it for 10yrs now so it is looking a little loved - would buy another in a heartbeat - great on most horses!! My advice would be borrow one from a friend for a ride - see what you think - it is an expensive purchase to make to then discover that it is the wrong saddle for you.
