I have a friend who would like to sell her saddle and was wondering what price to put on it. It is almost new and in excellent condition. She bought it new, and used it for about six months and then stopped riding. What do you think would be a reasonable price to pay for such a saddle?

Isn't the Ulla worth around $3,500 brand new?
Maybe your friend should go for a nice round figure-maybe $3,000. I don't have much idea about how much the saddle would be worth. It might be an idea to go and see the person or saddlery the saddle was bought from-they might be able to help you a little more than me... however im sure there are plenty of people on dressageit who can offer some more "expert" advice.

I agree with Helen - probably around the $3000 mark should be right. $2900 might look better! I have the same saddle and love it to death. I would dearly love to have another as a spare or something! Shouldn't be hard to sell, they seem to suit anyone that doesn't like an Isabell. And even though Ulla has long legs - it suits the vertically challenged beautifully.
Good luck

I would probably say that $3000 is probably a good figure to start with - I haven't ridden in one before though...so I don't know how good they are :D

...so if anyone hears of a 16in bates (not caprilli) or a 15 1/2i PH or ambassador show or dressage saddle I'm here!! :P

Thank you all for your replies. My friend rang tonight and said that she is now desparate and has advertised it for $1500. I think I might get it myself.

is it a good saddle? I'm 5 foot 10 inches, so is it good for tall people? I've been thinking about getting one.

I am 5ft 8in and it is very comfortable for me to ride in. It really helps you maintain a correct seat.
