View Full Version : Victorian CDI-W results
Days 1 and 2 results are up now on the results page (http://www.dressageit.com/results) here. Of course, we await today's Freestyle results to see who wins the CDI-W itself.
Kelly Layne is the only Queensland representative. Good luck for today, Kelly!
thanks Ann !
Those NSW riders that headed down to Mexico aren't going too badly either ;-)
Haven't yet heard how it has panned out today.

Haven't yet heard how it has panned out today.Yes, Heath in particular is doing very well.
I haven't heard anything more, and probably won't until late this evening, when Leon sends me today's results.

Isn't it fantastic to have (almost) instant results??
I am suitably impressed with the organisation and communication lines that have to be in place...
Well done ANN!!!

Thanks Ivanka, but those Victorian ones are easy, because all I have to do is print a Word file to PDF, add a bit of HTML to a page, and upload both the page and the PDF.
The Queensland results are more complicated, because I have to wait sometimes up to two weeks for the results, then enter every ride into ResQue, check for incorrect registration and membership numbers (you'd be amazed how many there are), chase the EFAQ office for the missing ones (still more than there should be, and some riders still copping out and writing Pend for horses that have been registered for some time, and yes, I know who you are, and I have a long memory!) and then printing the results to PDF etc. That's why the Queensland results are slow.
Sorry to relate here, but I didn't get any results overnight. As Leon will be at the event now, there's no point in nagging. I should have them tomorrow. He's very quick at getting them to me.

WOW, that's a lot of work!!!!
I was not complaining about the speed of the QLD results (so my apologies when it looked like I did..) I was honestly positively suprised with the speed of the VIC results.
Thanks for all the work you do Ann, I know that most competitiors appreciate it as much as I do!

And I didn't mean my post to look as if I thought you were!
I was just taking the opportunity to have a bit of a whinge about riders who don't follow the rules.
It seems, from what I hear, that lots of riders aren't taking advantage of the new stickers, which are there to help out club volunteers who often have difficulty deciphering hand-written entry forms.
I should really start a new thread on this...

possibly they didn't get their stickers? Or they don't read/subscribe to Salute so don't know what they are for?
We sent 3 cards in and two came back with stickers, but mine didn't so we had to send in the card again to get the stickers, as they had also forgot to put the validation stamp on it.
I think it makes entries a lot easier. Just stick on a label and the only other thing you have to write down in most cases is the bridle number!
It will be interesting to see who takes out the National GP title... especially with Ricky not competing down there this year.
Also interesting to see Heath in Inter 1 with Regardez Moi... He's just lovely. Last time I saw him he was competing medium and just starting advanced!

I'm pretty sure they were mentioned in Contact as well, but am beginning to believe that many riders don't read either.

Exactly! Easier for both riders and organisers. I've written to the DQ Committee asking them to propose that the bridle number field be included on the stickers, and just remain blank for those states that don't use them. So much more logical than leaving it off.
