Just thought I'd let everyone know that I found out from my friend Vicki Harding who's in Germany at the moment that Nadine Capellman won with Elvis. So I thought that was pretty cool. I don't know any other placing's though.

Awesome that shes back up there. Was Anky there with Salinero?

No, nor was Edward Gal on Lingh, although he rode Gribaldi.
Scores are on Eurodressage here (http://www.eurodressage.com/scores/2006/aachen.html)
The judges don't always agree there, either. ;)
Kyra Kirkland pushed Nadine all the way, and was first with four of the judges in the GP.
Massive field, and Kristy was there on Quando Quando in the CDIO and Don Bolero in the CDI.

I read a while back the dutch were saving their top combinations for WEG and weren't going to be going to Aachen CDIO this year

I think the German lineup is going to be pretty impressive though. Look at their list just from this comp - werth, linsenhoff, husenbeth, capellman and that guy who rides wansuela suerte(name temporarily has escaped me). All seasoned campaigners, on very established horses who have all been getting around since Jerez at least.
I think one to watch in the emerging national force stakes would be sweden. They are featuring pretty strongly at the top, and once again with some very long established combinations.
Pretty tough for Kristy with some very spread judging. I did notice however that her score with Mary would still place her below Rachel & Kelly's most recent performances.

The dutch championships were on the same weekend as Aachen and most opted to stay there. I read somewhere that Anky didn't go because with all the rollkur talk at the moment, it wasn't an inviting event or words to that effect.

Anky is competing in Germany in the next few weeks at Lingen.
the scores from Aachen were all over the place..and..interestingly enough..were decided entirely by the artistic type marks in the freestyle.. One thing for sure is that Kyra Ks music is a disaster.. have a look and see..

Thats great, thanks for posting those. I love Kyra, but her music is pretty average. I can't tell you how much Max reminds me of Cardiff, my 4yo. Same markings, same face, same movement. Its bizarre!
