Hi!
I was just wondering if anyone knew of reasonably priced agistment on and around the Gold Coast area. I will be moving to Bond University to study from January - December, and would really like to have a horse with me. I'm not too fussed on what's available, be it a stable or yard, even if anyone knows of just a small paddock that might be available, I would love to hear from you.
Thanks,
Kirstie

I know of heaps of places. Find a copy of The Horse Report or Horses and People (from produce, saddlery ect) and there's always listings in there.

Hi Kirstie

HooFie's advice is excellent for those of us already living down here, but I'm wondering if you have access to those sources in Central Queensland.

If not, I hope some of our Gold Coast members will pop up with some specific recommendations for you, of places that they know are reputable.

Keep us posted on this.

Thanks!
Unfortunately we don't have access to those sorts of prints, but when I arrive, I'll have to find a saddlery or produce store with something like that. Thanks again,
Kirstie

There's a large paddock agistment place next to us. It's all electric fencing, and there is a work area, but the properties have already flooded 3 times this summer, but it is maybe 15 minutes from Bond. They will feed and rug horses if necessary.

My coach has just closed her agistment facility, but agistees from there have moved out to a place which has very good facilities. Stables, paddocks, new sand dressage arena and a trotting track. They do a good quality full board service from what I have heard. I am not sure if they do self care or part care, but I think they would.

There is also Tally Park at the Southern end of the coast. I don't really know too much about their facilities, but they are fairly expensive.

These are the main three that I know of, I am sure that there are lots of others, but I don't know them.

I don't know phone numbers off hand for these places, but can find out.

Hope this helps!
